Mountain View

Hidden in the heart of the Ozarks, Mountain View, Arkansas has a rich tradition of preserving folk music and culture. Founded in 1890, the city’s economy is largely based on tourism related to its title as the “Folk Music Capital of the World.” Most weekends visitors will find a variety of bluegrass and folk music being played in groups around the Mountain View square. People can bring their own instruments and join in the fun and jam sessions! Mountain View and the nearby Ozark Folk Center State Park is proud to host many activities and festivals throughout the year, perfect for families, friends, and loved ones to enjoy together!

Mountain View is also located in the heart of the Sylamore Mountains in Arkansas, surrounded by beautiful natural resources and scenic views. The area offers an array of opportunities to get outside and explore the natural world. Fom the creek to the river, the mountains to the valleys…the options are endless!
